Love Lace

[Love Lace Displayer Image]

Fanciful frill and couture are paired in MAC Cosmetic's Love Lace collection. I recently took a stab at recreating the displayer image and had a lot of fun with it. I will admit, trying to work all day with lace over my eye is a bit distracting... but oh so fun!

My co-worker, Austin Greene, also rocked the same look. He gave me some great compliments on my artistry. It is nice to get a pat on the back from such a talented artist.

Girls just want to have VIVA GAGA fun!

[Cyndi Lauper and Lady GaGa for Viva Glam]

Lady GaGa and Cyndi Lauper team up to represent the heart and soul of MAC Cosmetics--the MAC Aids Fund. This fund is the second-largest contributor to men, women and children affected with HIV/AIDS. The duo will have two custom shades added to the Viva Glam assortment on counters Spring 2010. One-hundred percent of the selling price of every Viva Glam product will go to the MAC Aids Fund.

I absolutely love the Viva Glam line because the products are designed for every skin tone. As an artist, it is exciting to have two-new shades to play with! I hope all of you come check out the new product and help to make a difference in people's lives (while feeling glamorous)!

With love,

JM

Halloween 2009

[Colin Welch - Halloween 2009]

[Colin Welch - Halloween 2009]

[Jonathan McKeeman - Halloween 2009]

A dear friend of mine, Colin Welch, approached me to create a glamour look with animalistic influences for Halloween. I gave him a golden glow, dark eyes, false lashes and hand painted cheetah spots on his face and neck. We were both very happy about the results.

The look I am sporting is a reference to black and white movie actors. I decided to take on the character of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. The left side is created with liquid latex and the skin is a mixture of Face & Body Foundation (white) by MAC Cosmetics and several eyeshadows and liners.

These were both fun looks and took under an hour and a half a piece.
